Exempt Status   
Certain classifications are exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and are designated with a "Z" symbol in the City and County of San Francisco's official Compensation Manual. Overtime provisions as they are applied to employees in Z" symbol classes are provided in the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreements.
